Determination of optimum technologies implementation scenarios toward net zero emissions in palm oil biodiesel production

Abstract Increasing bioenergy use is one of the strategies for achieving net zero emissions by 2060. Palm oil biodiesel a type that has potential to be applied achieve this target. On other side, there are several sources emission along palm (POB) production chain. These can reduced applying various technologies This study aims develop model reducing from biodiesel. The developed was combination life cycle assessment and genetic algorithms. Two objectives defined in model, namely: maximizing greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction through technology implementation minimizing mitigation costs its implementation. A implementations represented as chromosomes generated crossover mutation. By running more than 1000 iterations, optimal obtained with smallest minimal costs.
